On-line Courses and working on revisions... 04/02/2010
I just finished an online course at www.savvyauthors.com. The facilitator was none other than the fabulous Ms. Holly Lisle. I loved it. She's spectacular at laying out a process. If you're anything like me, I love to see the process. When I read how other writers sort their junk, I always attempt to envision it. Holly lays it all down and then shows examples of her own work. Way cool. And the group is made of people just like me. And here I believed I was alone. For a solitary pursuit (writing, I mean) there are a ton of outlets and places to go to meet and speak with people going through the same motions I am. The writing community amazes me. So many people willing to share and help. I am revising a novella at the moment and this course really helped. I don't have a 7-day deadline, so it's not so stressful. But I still want to turn it around quickly because there's actually someone out there that wants to read the revision. Guess what? It's not my mom. Anyhow, what do you think of the writing community you've encountered so far? Let me know, I'm a curious sort. Add Comment | AuthorI'm attempting to become published.
