California was Awesome. I had such a wonderful time. Met some great people. Should I name drop? Of course. Waves to Minx Malone, Marie Sexton, Leigh Verrill-Rhys, and Kathy L. Wheeler.
This year, I didn't kill myself attending workshops back-to-back-to-back. I chilled, I volunteered, I went to book signings, I sat in the bar. The atmosphere was different in Cali, everyone seemed a little more relaxed and lot more happy.
It was good.
I got to attend Harlequin's Digital Day Author Training because I won the bid on Brenda Novak's auction for juvenile diabetes. As a result, I met with Malle Vallik and she provided invaluable advice on how to improve my website. I also got some Facebook and Twitter training - awesome.
Overall, a wonderful experience. A big thank you to my husband for coming out with me and constantly reminding me he wasn't there, to go and do whatever I wanted or needed to do. He's seriously cool.
And another huge thank you to Minx Malone for being down-to-earth, funny, and, mostly, for being as weird as I am. You rock!
