This is how it started. The kitchen cupboards were original to the house–1987. Gotta love the 80s. I did, back then, now, not so much. And check out the backsplash. That same tile is on the floor and not from the 80s, the backsplash was an upgrade. Seriously.
Anyhow, we decided, after nine years, to make some changes. We opted for traditional shaker doors (cloud white), granite countertops (suede brown), and new undermount sink and stainless faucet. Here are some more photos. Kitchen's not quite finished yet, we need to install the range hood–see gaping hole above stove where cupboards used to be? We also need new backsplash. Going with beadboard for a cottage feel, a chic cottage feel, of course. Trying to decide on paint colours and how to dress-up the island.
